Yet another film I saw only because I was trapped on a 10 hour flight across the Atlantic. I was really disappointed by the way this film felt completely contrived and forced. Not to mention sentimental.

However, I am going to hope that I got all the bad films out of the way, and the programming at Cannes will be nothing less than spectacular. On the hoped docket is Peter Greenaway, Carlos Saura, Arturo Ripstein, the Dardenne brothers, and Dominik Moll. And Woody Allen if his film actually arrives in time. There will be others as well, but I have no idea what they will be at this point. It will be a surprise to all of us. Let us hope they will deliver their promised thrills.
